Tuesday Evening Satsangs with Myat
If you haven't yet attended our Tuesday evening satsangs, they are occasions not to be missed! Please join us in welcoming our newest meditation and spiritual teacher Myat Htoon to The Prana Urban Zen Monastery. Myat has been practicing meditation and Buddhism for over 40 years and has given countless talks and discourses over the past fifteen years. Bringing a great deal of knowledge, culture and direct experience with him, Myat will also answer any dharma questions that you have. Every Tuesday, beginning at 7:30pm, we sit in meditation for half an hour, followed by an hour long talk and discussion. Topics for discussion change each week, and are geared toward living truth within modern society. No experience is necessary. Suggested donation for these special events is $5, call 604-682-2121 to book your space.

Residencies and rental at The Prana Urban Zen Monastery
If you have ever considered getting away from the frenetic pace and lifestyle of the city, we still have a few openings for residencies in our urban oasis. Our monthly resident fee is $500 and is $300 for a weekly retreat. The monastery also has a private, beautiful, 3 bedroom basement suite available to rent for a couple who would like to spend time near an environment of spiritual discipline. The rent for the suite is $1300 per month. If you have any questions about what the peaceful life is like here, please call 604-682-2121.

Community Classes on The Mission Reserve
After much deliberation, we have chosen a Prana trained Teacher for our community classes! In cooperation with The Eskemkwu Aboriginal Healing and Wellness Centre, we are officially providing yoga classes and monthly wellness workshops to First Nations people living on The Mission Reserve. This class begins in March and is our way giving back to the community, bringing the benefits of yoga to those who may not otherwise have the means to experience this beautiful system of holistic living.

Donate your Yoga Mat
During February we are organizing a yoga mat drive for our Eskemkwu Aboriginal Healing and Wellness Centre classes on The Mission Reserve. We will have a box in the studio for you to place your old, yet usable yoga mat into. We will then donate all the mats we collect. They will be given to those who cannot afford to buy a mat, but would like to participate in our community classes in North Vancouver.
